Trinoma Snaps

This was the last time we went to attend a friend's birthday party. After Banky's party , we headed to Trinoma with mommy Stef together with the kids. I need to buy something for Sam and Stef will be having a medical checkup with her OB. We separated at the mall already. Sam saw the carousel at the 3rd floor and immediately requested to have a one round of joyful ride...hehe! She really loves the carousel and since it's still early, i granted her small wish. I forgot that it was Sunday pala because when we got to the 3rd floor, the Timezone was jam-packed with kids of all ages. My goodness... it's family day nga pala. We usually goes out kasi during the weekdeays only to avoid the mall crowd. The ticket booth has a long-line wait but still able to managed to get Sam her carousel ticket. She patiently waited for our turn. She's very happy when it's our turn already..haha! Hays, kaligayahan nga nman ng bata...it's super babaw! I'm happy that I made her happy again.

After our horsey ride, I decided to have a small shoot again with my little model. Grabbed the ops because the weather was good plus I have the camera. I seldomly bring it kasi whenever we go out. Good thing that Sam has still some enrgy to pose for mommy...hehe! I just treated her with some pieces of her favorite Krispy Kreme daughnut after. During our way home, she's already knock-down. What a tiring yet fun day again for both of us.

Watch Out for these Spooktacular Halloween Mall Events

I brought Sam to her pedia just this afternoon for her shot schedule at Healthway clinic, 5th level of The Block in SM north. Her schedule was supposed to be last May pa kaya its'a kinda late na. Good thing that after this Hepa A shot...yearly na ang balik namin because she was able na to complete her vaccination shots already...not to mention the cost of each shot!...my goodness!..hindi sya mura!..lol! Oh well, no amount is equivalent for our kids health kaya ok lang.

So after the visit, I just brought Sam to Toy Kingdom to satisfy her eyes and to forgot the pain from the shot. I just bought her something that she likes and a cute halloween costume. BTW, the store is jampacked with varieties of cute and very nice halloween costumes for your kiddos so better shop early. The availability of some items are very limited daw kaya mabilis magkaubusan. Even the Bumblebee & Company is already selling retail costumes inside the store. And daming magaganda...promise! All these events will be sched on the 31st of October so it's up to you of which event you'll be bringing your kids. Kung pwedeng nga sanang lahat eh ...why not?...haha! :)

Pampers World Tour Event

giant chairs and tables

Sam & i were at Trinoma last Sunday, just need to buy something in the mall. I didn't know that there's this Pampers on going event at the activity center. And i thought that it's only for parents with babies. They are accepting all kids for registration to join the said event. So i decided to register and join the fun inside with sam. She really enjoyed the colorful rooms with these giant furnitures. We were able to get some freebies as well from the different sponsors. Rj & Giselle hosted the mini show. Conduct some raffle and discussed some parenting tips for all the parents. Sam enjoyed these giant furnitures and really climbed high just to seat on the top...with my help of course. She also enjoyed watching the elephant mascot dancing on the stage. Sadly, I wasn't able to have her a decent pic beside it...what's the name of this mascot anyway?...i have no idea!..ahaha

What is a Pamper's World anyway?

Pampers World is a global event that aims to help parents experience the stages of development through their baby’s eyes. Pampers World has toured other countries (notably the United Kingdom, Greece, Sweden, and Indonesia among others) and is now in the Philippines.

Each stage will feature rooms where consumers can move about and explore the world like a baby. Finally, you can also purchase Pampers Stages at discounted prices. Through innovative programs, events and partnerships with other organizations, the PPI aims to make use of these renowned professionals to provide parents with the latest in child-care information and research to help them become the best parents they can be. Tacsiyapo, Tarlac

On our journey going to Baguio. we took the chance to drop by at Isdaan Restaurant and Tacsiyapo Wall at Tarlac. The first thing that will surely steal your attention are the Mayan/Aztec-themed, and some giant fish sculptures outside the restaurant. This floating resto is located along the hi-way at Gerona, Tarlac. There are giant fish too hanging from fishing-rods.

Upon entering the restaurant, you’ll find floating bahay kubos for dining. There’s a lot to see around the place. There are some giant urinating/spitting monkeys. It’s a multi-player game where the players try their luck staying dry. The winner (the one who stay dry until the end) gets 1 kilo of fish cooked any way the winner wants.

The Tacsiyapo Wall was featured many times on TV and on print. Guests buy a mug or plate (P8-15) or even a functioning TV (P1,500). Once you’ve chosen your “weapon”, take a deep breath, then throw your it unto the wall, break it into pieces and release your tension along shouting Tacsiyapo as loud as you can. Isn't that an effective stress therapy!. Try to drop by here to experience this unique way to release your anger...hehe

Trivia:'Tacsiyapo' is a kapangpangan term which means "Shame on you!" Quite appropriate actually, since the wall where you get to smash your wares is labelled with different issues over which Filipinos usually get frustrated. Favorite targets on the wall are "5-6!," "Boss / Managers / Supervisors, etc. !" and "Mother / Father in Law!" It is comforting to know that you are not the only one suffering from the same problem.

Exploring Manila Ocean Park

sam really enjoy watching the fishes that swims all over the place

At long last, I'm finally done with this uploading thing...hehe! It took me a while to finish posting our photos from our visit to the newest marine life theme park here in the Phils. The Oceanarium also known as The Manila Ocean Park. On with our tour, taking photographs and videos inside the Oceanarium is allowed, provided no flash or video lights are used so as not to scare the marine animals. Upon entering, guests are given a brochure/map of the complex with brief descriptions of the different sections within.

the six section of the Oceanarium

The Oceanarium journey is divided into six sections and each section will carry a Filipino name: >"Agos"; "Bahura"; "Buhay na Karagatan"; "Pating"; "Ang Kailaliman"; and "Laot". The first section, called Agos (Flow), features a rainforest-theme with eight tanks containing freshwater species. This part of the oceanarium -- the only open area in the facility -- shows the interconnectedness between the water and land. Agos would also feature an artificial waterfall and a touch pool, where children could interact with creatures such as starfish and shrimps. The Bahura or the Reef, would exhibit artificial corals in 48 tanks, complete with their scientific and common names, and their roles in the ecosystem. Laot (Fishing Ground), on the other hand, would feature big fish and Eagle-spotted rays in a long tank. A school of barracudas would be seen swimming in a large tank at the Kalaliman (The Deep) section of the oceanarium. There would also be a shark tank and an overhead aquarium featuring the breathtaking beauty of rays.

After our awesome encounter with the creatures of the deep see, we decided to exit the facility. And besides, we are all starving & hoping to find a snack bar somewhere ouside the big tanks. Sam's water were almost empty and she badly requested for a cold "mamam" already. We were confused at first since there was no clear signs where the exits were until a guard pointed us in the right direction through the restaurant. The place is indeed unfinished since we saw floor tiles that still need to be installed. Even the exit stairs are still rough and if one is not careful, you might trip. The pathway led us through a corridor to the souvenir shop. Even the shop still leaves room to be desired since their selections are too common and not specialized. Most of the items on display bears the Manila Ocean Park "sticker" not imprinted nor embossed. So we just continued on. One more turn and we are back in the Dome.

The whole park may not yet be finished, but having experienced walking through the Oceanarium, I can say that it was worth it even though it's not yet complete. Also, I must add that the tanks need a lot of work. A lot of the artificial reefs and corals are obvious. Nonetheless, I can't wait until they finish the whole complex. I'm looking forward to seeing the marine habitat soon and to try out that glass bottomed boat ride That Sam would surely enjoy. Just a little advise, if you intend to visit the Oceanarium anytime soon, do so on a weekday... please!!! Doing so, you will avoid large crowds which will make your visit a lot more enjoyable especially for the kids. :p

Our Caleruega Experience

After our tiring expediton to the Eco-Adventure Trail in Tagaytay, and since we are already near to Batanggas...we decided to take a stop-over to this well-known place along Nasugbu Batanggas, the Caleruega. The Caleruega is a spiritual center located in the hilly part of Batulao, Batangas owned by the Dominican Province of the Philippines. Journey to a place of spiritual healing and reflection.

The Caleruega grounds in Tagaytay is a sanctuary for the soul and the spirit. The sprawling flora and lush environs makes Caleruega the perfect place for retreats, weddings, or simply an afternoon away from the metro. It was primarily constructed to serve as a venue for spiritual activities like retreats primarily for Dominican schools. At present it is open to the public for seminars, trainings, and private weddings.

Its facilities include a chapel, two session halls, two dormitories, more than 20 medieval-type cottages, a refectory, an adoration room, and a campsite. Its rugged landscape and serene environment is perfect for meditations that make visitors feel relaxed and comfortable. Caleruega was named and patterned after the medieval town in Spain, which is the birthplace of the founder of the Dominican Order, St. Dominic de Guzman. Also, you can’t go there and miss the 150-seater Transfiguration Chapel, which has been seen in many movies (if you watched Sukob where Kris & Wendell got married). This rustic church surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers is the perennial Batangas-wedding venue favorite. Its charm and beauty attracts couples and ordinary sightseers from all over the country. This church is perfect for small and intimate weddings

Trip to Ec0-Adventure Trail, Tagaytay

If you want to experience the cool breeze of the mountains (without having to take a long trip going to Baguio) and see the panoramic view of Taal Lake and its volcano while enjoying the facilities and ambiance of the special interest resort at a very reasonable price, check out the 500-meter Eco-Adventure Trail just located inside the 13.5-hectare hillside resort of Tagaytay Picinic Grove. It was constructed amid a natural park overlooking the famous Taal Volcano. The scenic walkway, which hugs the rugged terrain of the picnic grove, gives Tagaytay visitors a number of spectacular views of the island-volcano of Taal. Its winding and rolling pathways provide tourists a challenging stroll or a leisurely walk.

Sitting on a landscaped area, the Eco-Trail is a long boardwalk that would serve as an alternative view deck for tourists and is highlighted by a miniature forest complete with a hanging bridge. Newly built picnic sheds strategically dot the area. The grove also offers various amenities such as a restaurant, cottage accommodations, function halls, picnic areas and view decks. The view was fantastic even though it rained and the sky was a bit dark. This is second time that I went to see the place after almost a decade, I think t'was during my college years. The trip was really fun even if it was really tiring. Sam really enjoys walking with matching non-stop talking and singing pa! Hays...so ever hyper kid!..haha! My in-laws on the other hand almost gives-up finishing the trail and they really catches breath after the trip. Long trail with stairs just made them really tired. But at least we've lost lots of calories in return...hehehe :p And not to mention, a really great place for your photo ops as well.
