Easter Bunny on Halloween

Did you already saw an easter bunny during the spooky season of halloween? Well, here she is!...lol! The make up we just bought was actually for me to try and practice on how to do face painting in forms of flowers or butterfiles. This little girl...my one and only demo girl requested for a bunny make-up instead...haha! What?...I told her that she don't have a bunny costume to match the make up. But she insisted that she likes the bunny make-up! With the white face, red nose and whiskers....as in ditalyado pa talaga ang instructions nya sa kin...my gulay!...what a demanding model...lol!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

To My Daddy

I crown the stars with sparkles,
Like glints in diamond skies,
I'm graced with heart so golden,
'Tis where my beauty lies.

I am your gift of sunshine,
Adorable, Expressive,
Precious as the day is long,
Simply put--impressive.

I treasure all our play times,

And nights with "Goodnight Moon",
The time we build sand castles,
And sing our silly tunes...

The time we shoot the hoops,
And on your shoulders high,
I ride you like a pony,
Way up in the sky.

I am a gift from heaven,
God's grace He did bestow,
Among the stars to pirouette,
In ballerina's glow.

I am a pricelss jewel,
More costly than a pearl,
With wit and charm that can't be matched,
For I am Daddy's Girl!

my designs @ digiscrapdepot.com

I'm doing my usual digiscrap freebie kit hunting when i stumble to digiscrapdepot.com once more. I was suprised seeing my design there as on of the current scrapbook theme! I think I uploaded them to the site sometime a couple months ago. I started to design almost 4 months ago and had a little chance doing it again because my schedule started to be frantic upon the onset of summer season. I really want to design again & do a lot more beautiful kits for you to enjoy. Maybe I can start designing again one of these days. For now, I also missed doing layout designing. I have a huge collections of new pics to scrap from my new slr cam... a gift from my hubby! :p

Happy Mother's Day to all Moms and to your Moms as well...

me and my precious daughter Sam @ Ark Avilon, April 2008

Since my daughter was born a little over 3 years ago, Mother’s Day has been a very special day for me. After all, I had carried her for 9 months and spent countless sleepless nights taking care of her to earn the title “Mother”.

Through all these 3 years, I'm really thankful to have my mom. This Mother’s Day I feel a completely new level of gratitude and respect for my Mom. I have gained a much better understanding of what she went through and how much she scarified to raise me. Now, I'm beginning to missed her again because she lives out of the country already with my dad and there's no way to give her my personal gratefulness for raising me well. It's also sad to see that she's not around to witnessed her very first grand daughter's growing years...sigh! Can't wait to be with her and my dad again...see you soon guys! :p

I'm still looking for an old photos of us in my younger years to have it digiscrap also...

Let’s take a little closer look at what “Mom” did and does for us...

Pregnancy
Remember those first few months of pregnancy with the excitement, anxiousness and – who could forget it- the morning sickness? Your Mom went through all of that as well, and she did it without being able to access every conceivable piece of information about pregnancy online and without all the early tests we have now to ensure us that everything is fine with our baby.

Mom also shared the kicks to the bladder and the backaches that come later in pregnancy. And don’t forget about labor. Well, who could forget labor? Mom’s been there, done that as well. And she probably did it with a lot less medicinal help than we did!

Infancy
Then the real joy of motherhood begins - no sleep for months, midnight feedings and endless diaper changes. Could you imagine surviving without disposable diapers? I couldn’t, but somehow my Mom managed to wash millions of dirty cloth diapers while taking care of me.

I am sure she also got the same words of advice from everyone around her about how to properly care for the little infant and worried about all the possible germs the baby could be exposed to with everyone wanting to hold her.

Toddler
Just like you, Mom eventually made it through your infancy and met the toddler version of you. When I recently complained about my daughter’s “terrible two’s” to my Mom, she just laughed and told me it was payback for all my tantrums when I was my daughter’s age.

Did she worry as much as I did about picking the right time to wean her off the bottle, the pacifier, to get her potty trained? Did she go through all the heartbreak and crying, and - as far as potty training goes - the mess that comes with it? I am sure she did. And like any good mother, we both supported the first attempts at independence. So what if my daughter decides to wear rain boots with her summer dress? I feel sure there is a picture of me somewhere in a very similar outfit.

Preschooler
So you and your Mom finally make it past the terrible twos. By now, if not earlier, you are probably torn between kids and career. If your Mom is anything like mine, she ran into the same problem. Should you stay home and be there for the kids 24/7, or should you continue to work to be able to afford the kind of things you want to be able to give your kids?

At this stage Moms also spend a lot of time getting their kids ready for school. All along you have probably been reading to your child, teaching her numbers and colors, just like your own mother did.

School
Your kids may or may not be in school yet, but even if they aren’t, I am sure you can relate to making sure your child gets to school on time every morning, helping with homework and various school projects and attending school functions. Your Mom was probably there with you every step of the way too. She shared your joys and pains. She comforted you when the other kids made fun of you, just like you will with your kids.

I feel sure you have many more special memories about your Mom that you haven’t thought about in years. Why don’t you pick up the phone and call her? Spend some time with her. If you take the time and make the effort, you will find a great friend in your mother if you are not already at that point in your relationship. Take her on a “girls-day-out”. Go shopping, have lunch and get some pedicures together. Just enjoy her company and don’t forget to thank her for all she has done for you. After all, you wouldn’t be the great woman you are today without her.

They say there is a great woman behind every successful man, but there is also a wonderful mother behind every great woman.

Happy Mother’s Day Mom...

Happy Easter

Hope everybody's having a nice Easter celebration today. Too bad, I wasn't able to bring Sam to at least one of those egg hunt events I mentioned from my previous posts. Oh well, I'm not just in the mood to go out and really feeling so lazy today to go somewhere else. The weather is so annoying too! I guess, Summer is really starting and it heats up everything it touches. The air is very humid and it's really exhausting, making your body really sticky...eww!..haha!! I just don't feel to go out with Sam and decided to better stay at home instead. Good thing we did because rain suddenly poured in the afternoon. Don't want to be laid in sickness again, especially my little one. It's realy really hard. Anyway, I just made some Easter layouts for my little bunny-girl. She just love wearing those bunny ears!...isn't she lovely:) Happy Easter everyone!!!

Scrappin' Alphabetically - A, B, & C Run Layouts

Been busy for the past few days, wasn't able to do some layouts for my digiscrap project. Blame it my blogging and bloghopping trip...hehe :) Anyway, here's the layout I did for the ABC Run kits of Digitreats. Again, my inspiration for all of my layouts is who else, my little mini me!...hehe An aspiring model that really loves to pose and smile in front of the camera. :)

Sam really loves to go to different kiddie playrooms, I guess every kid does. Since she doesn't have any siblings yet to play with and she's the only kid in our house, she's really longing for a playmate. So whenever we go out, and if time persists, I let her to enjoy an hour of fun and excitement at any kiddie playrooms she wants. It's an opportunity for her to meet other kids of her age and to improve more her social skills. And most of all she's enjoying the facility of the playroom like the pool of colorful balls, giant loops and slides and more and more toys!...haha! This one was taken at Kidz @ Work located at the 5th level of Megamall. I used the A Run kits here.

This was just another ordinary day for me & Sam when I took this pic. She doesn't want to take her afternoon nap and really begging me for us to go out of the house. Since where both bored and don't have nothing to do, plus my internet connection is temporarily dead....arrgh! we just went out somewhere...somewhere inside the vicinity of our frontyard...hehe :) Got my cam and turned on my mamarazzi mode once again...haha! We both had a great time. :) I used the B Run kits here.

This one was taken at Kevin Toys and Library, another kiddie playroom located at Trinoma. This is a little bit smaller playroom as compared to Kidz at Work which is suited most for infants and toddlers. It has a huge collections of toys, has game room and all sorts of kiddie books. She also had a nice time playing here. :) And lastly, here's the C Run kits .
Credits goes all to Digitreats for all of these wonderful ABC Run kits I've used.

Scrappin' Alphabetically - A, B, & C Skip Layouts

I'm really enjoying making different layouts for Sam. Since Digitreats is so generous enough to share her beautiful ABC kits (limited time only, so visit her site oftenly to check & dl her beautiful works). I'm planning and very excited to make different layouts using the said kit. Meaning from letter A to Z! Same goes for the Run & Jump sets. Imagine 26 layouts in 3 different kits! It will be a really huge project for me!..lolz! And I really love doing it! I still have tons of Sams photos to scrap. So here's what I've got for the letters A, B, and C using the skip kits. 23 more to come , just for the Skip only! =)

With regards to my designing skills, I'm still learning & gathering different plugin tools online for my photoshop like brush, texture, custom shapes, patterns, etc. to start and enhance more my designing skills. I already have the PSE (photoshop elements) software but dunno how to start with it..hehe. I'm very used to use kasi my CS2 in designing and still need to explore the PSE. I still have the pending element kit for the Jump by the way. I'm still working on it. Just keep on coming back to my blog to check it. Hope everybody's having a blessed day!

A - your Adorable

B - your so Beautiful

C - your so Cute and full of Charm

My Little Bora Babe!

My little girl really enjoyed our recent trip to Boracay. From the airplane ride to boating trip, she really had the energy and never got tired. She's very excited to wear her two piece swim suit when we arrived @ the hotel, very excited to take a dip into the beach. Too bad because the weather was not that fine when we got there. It's really cloudy & a bit rainy in the afternoon. Heavy rain poured overnight. Good thing that the sun strikes and comes out the next day. After having our sumptous breakfast, we immediately changed to our swimming attire & headed to the beach afterwards. Sam really enjoyed the crystal clear water of boracay and had a great time playing in the powdery sand of the beach. I really want to scrap some of her wonderful pic. I'm working with the layout and here's what i've got. More layouts to come. =)

Sam's Birthday Layout

This is only a part of the birthday kit that I'm working for Sam's birthday layouts. I was able to make a metal alphas and four colorful balloons from scratch!...yey! I still want to add some more colorful embellishments like party hats, confettis, ice cream & some more party need stickers. I also made the red polka dot papers. I did the design and just applied a premade overlay texture. Need to add more paper with the same color coordinates. Whew!...really need to learn a lot more when it comes to designing! It's really a long way to go!...hahaha =)

My Disney On Ice Layout

It's been a while since I made my last layout...whew! busy busy me!..haha! Haven't practicing my scrapping lately because of the recent very busy holiday season. Plus the birthday preps for my little one. But now, everything seems back to normal and I have enough time to digiscrap again...yey! =)

I've been searching online lately for a nice & cute mickey mouse & friends images to use in my DOI layout. There's a lot of cute images but always comes in small sizes. Small jpeg or gif images is not ideal and is really hard to crop because the small pixel count tends to scatter resulting to a very bad & low quality images. High pixel count is really important especially in digiscrapping works. This make the image looks really sharp even in zooming and very ideal for printing. That's why some of you are wondering why the kits always comes in big sizes. A piece of paper can size up to 10mb depending on the print designs & textures. And it always comes in 3600x3600 pixels which is also 12'x12' in size, the ideal size for scrapbooking. Anyway, I just made use of my saved DOI wallpaper image that i've used in my past blog. Just have the images cropped & put some white borders, add a little drop shadow...and whola!...an instant sticker! Here's what I've got for Sam & Juilian's short but priceless moment. =)

Halloween 2007

Its time for Halloween! Time for trick or treat, Halloween parties, greeting cards, spooky fun, broomsticks and cauldron. The witches are back, and so is the fun. Too bad, i wasn't able to give these really fun experience to my lil' Sam inspite of numerous invitations.

Though she missed the actual Treat or tricking thing, I still let her experience the fun of wearing these cute halloween costumes. The Pirate one comes in a set already excluding the boots. At first she don't want to wear this, maybe because of the skull print on the belt. But after reminding her the "Pirate Adventure" episode of Dora, she instantly recalls the scenes & immediately allowed me to wear it into her and she loved it! The Wingless Fairy was from her old flower girl gown that she wore last year from a friend's wedding. Actually, she already outgrown this one. The zipper at the back won't close na..haha! It's only supported by the string attached to the sleeve. And btw, it's not the original color. I only digitally adjusted the color tone to match her furry pink headband. The tiny wand was only a borrowed from one of her dolls..hehe, my poor lil'Sam The last one, the Ballerina was a gift from her grandma. She wants to enroll kasi her grandchild to a ballet class in the future. I just matched it with her previous furry headband, a white stocking that she used from a wedding recently, and her old but new white shoes (old because i bought it last year pa, it was on sale kasi kaya i grabbed it na..then new because it's still unused)...and whola! an instant ballerina!

It's really nice to see that she carries all the three costumes plus her pumpkin basket. For me, it's not neccessarily to purchased pa a new costume if you can find something from your closet. Just a little creativity will all do the trick! Happy Halloween everybody!

As usual...it's digiscrapping time! Here are some of the Halloween layouts i've made.
