I admit it, I'm a hopeless romantic and I really love to watch this kind of romantic comedy movie. Music and Lyrics offers a little something for everyone while, of course, playing up to the women who dominate romantic comedy audiences. I think this was shown early last year. I wasn't able to watch it because I'm not really a fan of Hugh Grant. On the other hand, I'm a Drew Barrymore fan. I really like to watch her movies. Upon watching this movie, I saw that the chemistry works well between Grant and Barrymore and both seem to be having fun with the material. I also liked that they sang themselves instead of lip-synching. That’s what I gather but I can’t really say for sure. Grant really does have a good voice. And for the first time on film we get to watch Hugh Grant dance, sing and play the piano, and surprisingly he does all three fairly well. Just seeing Grant in '80s fashions shaking his butt in a cheesy music video within the film is worth the price of admission.Monday, March 31, 2008

Three Column Blogger Template Tutorials
1. Go to Template>Edit HTML, leaving the "Expand widget templates" box unchecked.
2. Now, find this section in the HTML code
#sidebar-wrapper { width: 220px; float: right; word-wrap: break-word; /* fix for long text breaking sidebar float in IE */ overflow: hidden; /* fix for long non-text content breaking IE sidebar float */ }
Copy this entire section, and paste it directly below. We're going to change the elements I've highlighted in red to the following:
#left-sidebar-wrapper (this makes the css for this section unique) float: left (this will make the new sidebar float to the left of the main column)
This will provide the styling for the new sidebar element which we will create next.
3. Now, you need to find this section further down the page:

Immedietly before this section, you should paste the following piece of code:

4. If you preview your template, you will notice that the right sidebar will be beneath the main section at the moment. This is because the outer-wrapper is still only wide enough to accomodate one sidebar. So now we need to expand the oputer wrapper to accomodate this new sidebar. Find this section in the HTML code:
/* Outer-Wrapper ----------------------------------------------- */ #outer-wrapper { width: 660px; margin:0 auto; padding:10px; text-align:left; font: $bodyfont; }
We need to increase the width of the wrapper by the width of the left-sidebar-wrapper, in this case 220px. So, change the value in red to 880px.
5. You may also want to change the width of the header-wrapper to 880px so that it spans the new width of your blog:
#header-wrapper { width:880px; margin:0 auto 10px; border:1px solid $bordercolor; }
6. At this point, you should save your template. At present, your new sidebar will not be seen as there are no widgets contained within it, though it will still be present in the markup of the page. Once you have saved your template, go to Template>Page elements in your Blogger dashboard.7. Your layouts section should now look something like this:

8. But we aren't quite finished yet! If you add anything to this left sidebar, you will probably notice that it jams right up to the main section, like this:

This is because there is no space defined between the left-sidebar and the main section. We need to create this space in the template's HTML. To do this, we will add a margin to the left hand side of the main posts section. Find the following code in your template's HTML and add the code defined in red:
#main-wrapper { width: 410px; float: left; margin-left: 20px; word-wrap: break-word; /* fix for long text breaking sidebar float in IE */ overflow: hidden; /* fix for long non-text content breaking IE sidebar float */ }This defines a margin space of 20px between the left-sidebar and the main column. You should also ensure you adjust thw width of the outer-wrapper from 880px to 900px to ensure the width of your blog is enough to accomodate this margin too. Either that, or you could reduce the width of your main column/a sidebar by 20px to serve the same purpose. Now, your previewed template should look more like this:

The same principles described here can help you create a three column template from any Blogger template, though you may find that you'll need to adjust the width, margins and padding for your new sidebar in order for it to look the way you would like.
Also, you can configure your new sidebar to float to the right, and have two sidebars on the right of the main column if you prefer. Simply set the CSS of your new sidebar to float: right; instead.

Have A Blessed Holy Week
Hope that everybody is having a blessed Holy Week. Though some of you for sure is spending the holiday with your family on a vacation somewhere else, always commemorate and still remember that the season is still all bout the last week of Jesus' life on this earth. The best time for us to repent and pray for his suffering by accepting the sins of mankind. Holy Week is most definitely a very sacred time of the year. With regards to me and my family, we don't have any agenda for the week. I'll just probably be staying at home with my daughter and my bro since he's on vacation too from his work. Still undecided of where to bring my girl on Easter Sunday. It's really hard for me that my better half is not around. The places where I want to go with my daughter is very limited. It's really not that easy to toggle her along. Hays, can't wait for my hubby's vacation by next month. :) Friday, March 21, 2008

Manila Ocean Park Oceanarium
The state-of-the-art Manila Ocean Park had its soft opening almost 2 weeks ago, on February 29. It’s gorgeous and truly world-class! The Oceanarium has only been open for only two weeks but the response has been tremendous. It’s really a big hit! By showcasing indigenous marine life here in the Philis., it has encouraged people to visit and explore the country’s tourist destinations. It showcases more than 20,ooo colorful marine inhabitants of about 300 species, that are indigenous to the Philippines and Southeast Asia contained in 12,000 cubic meters of seawater. Definetely one of the largest in Asia. This Php1.2 -billion Manila Ocean Park, located behind the Quirino Grandstand at the Rizal Park in Manila, is the world’s first marine theme park to adopt a "fusion concept", housing an oceanarium, a mall, a boutique hotel and open marine habitats. All over the world, people have been saying that our country is the center of marine biodiversity. This is the time to be proud and show the world what we have.
The Oceanarium journey is divided into six sections and each section will carry a Filipino name: >"Agos"; "Bahura"; "Buhay na Karagatan"; "Pating"; "Ang Kailaliman"; and "Laot". The first section, called Agos (Flow), features a rainforest-theme with eight tanks containing freshwater species. This part of the oceanarium -- the only open area in the facility -- shows the interconnectedness between the water and land. Agos would also feature an artificial waterfall and a touch pool, where children could interact with creatures such as starfish and shrimps. The Bahura or the Reef, would exhibit artificial corals in 48 tanks, complete with their scientific and common names, and their roles in the ecosystem. Laot (Fishing Ground), on the other hand, would feature big fish and Eagle-spotted rays in a long tank. A school of barracudas would be seen swimming in a large tank at the Kalaliman (The Deep) section of the oceanarium. There would also be a shark tank and an overhead aquarium featuring the breathtaking beauty of rays.
Among the salient features of the park is a glass tunnel where visitors may get to see the some 200 species of marine life. The tunnel is a 25-meter, 220 degree curved acrylic walkway that would provide visitors the chance to better appreciate the marine species, and unlike other oceanariums in Asia, the Manila Ocean Park will be getting marine species from our own waters. Visitors will be exploring the secrets of the Philippine ocean and surrounded by such underwater wonders without actually getting wet.
Aside from the Oceanarium, Manila Ocean Park will have a ma
The Concourse Plaza, located at the main entrance of the park is the central activity area for the facility. This is where various big events will take place throughout the year. The Oceanarium also has a multi-purpose hall which will house interactive multi-media educational exhibits and capable of hosting various functions. After the journey, one can enjoy a sumptuous meal at "Tagpuan", an al fresco dining facility. For those who would like to snorkel or even dive without having to go to far-flung places, the two Open Water Marine Habitats will give you that exact experience. This facility is scheduled to open in April 2008. Manila Ocean Park is owned by China Oceanis Philippines Inc., a subsidiary of China Oceanis Inc., a Singaporean-registered firm that has operated four oceanariums in China. **credits to Webmaster for the pics.**

First Class Couturier
During my Tita's 3 weeks vacation here last February, one of her agenda is to meet a certain designer named Nono Palmos. A Filipino couturier whose name is much more famous abroad. Honestly, I'm not familiar with the name. Some well known fashion designers like Pitoy Moreno and Randy Ortiz are just few of the names that i know in the world of fashion industry here in the Phils. My Tita was able to know him because he sponsors the clothes of TV host Gel Santos Relos for her show Citizen Pinoy on the TFC Channel. His name is very popular among our balikbayans. Among his may admirers and constant clients were Gov. Vilma Santos, Nora Aunor, Dina Bonnevie, Ruffa Gutierrez, Snooky Serna, and Maritoni Fernandez. His finely-crafted suits for men found approval in some of the most fashionable male stars such as Mark Anthony Fernandez and Marc Nelson. He has dressed up too our very own sultry singer Rachel Ann Go for her shows abroad.
